When we arrived at the Airbnb in Clearwater, the apartment wasn’t ready. The cleaning lady arrived half an hour later with her cleaning cart and $40 from the owners for the inconvenience. The place was fine. But it looked much better in the photos on the website. And the same thing happened to me when I found myself in front of Pier 60 at 6:30 in the afternoon. A swarm of beachgoers occupied every angle and frame. There was no chance. However, I set up my tripod and waited. I don’t know if it was my indifference or the fact that it was Friday, but a little while later, I had my few seconds of golden hour, clear and unobstructed.

Pier 60 captures the tranquil grandeur of a seaside structure stretching boldly into the horizon at sunset. The long, elevated deck stands silhouetted against the soft gradient of sky and sea — a moment where light, architecture, and nature meet in perfect stillness.
